Going Blonde!?!?!

This has come a bit late, because I dyed my hair over  a month ago, but I couldn’t find the time to document it on here. As  some of you who know me have seen I dyed my hair blonde, or tried to at least, because the end result was a huge FAIL!!!! My hair is of low porosity so the dye did not take to me hair well, despite being reassured by the box that it would at least go a kind of honey chestnut colour. I ended up with an almost unidentifiable colour, that some mean people *cough*Temi*cough* have mentioned is in the ginger family.

I used the Dark and Lovely® Fade Resistant Rich Conditioning Color in Light Golden Blonde….this is the colour it is supposedly supposed to bring my hair to.

The colour I got was not even close to this!!! I only put the dye on the front section of my hair, and I dyed the ends of the rest (there wasn’t enough for the back) and so because I had concentrated the dye on only certain areas, I thought that the dye would take better. I followed to instructions to the letter to a point, I even put on a shower cap. But when it was time to wash the dye off, I was nowhere near brown let alone blonde so i left it on for another 10-15 minutes.

That’s the evolution of the hair dye, I didn’t want to do any damage so I washed it off after not too long. In the end I grew to like the hair colour, I’m thinking maybe blonde isn’t actually my colour. It’s spiced up my otherwise dull hair so I think it’s well worth the £5 i paid for it. As you can see, i’m loving the new pop of colour I have :D….I’ll show you some other styles i’ve done in the next post, which won’t be too far away! Until then, i’ll have to love you and leave you!
